Sammy S. Sugiura
About
Sammy Sugiura is an experienced trial attorney who represents local and international unions in a variety of labor and employment law matters. Mr. Sugiura has litigated disputes throughout the country, and has extensive experience in the courtroom, having taken over 100 matters to trial while amassing a nearly 90% success rate.
Prior to joining Mooney, Green, Saindon, Murphy & Welch, Mr. Sugiura worked for regional law firms located in Pennsylvania. Mr. Sugiura began his civil law career on the employer side, and he successfully counseled and represented global corporations, regional businesses, and executives located around the country. Since 2018, Mr. Sugiura has primarily represented workers and unions in matters involving discrimination and harassment in the workplace, retaliation, whistleblower complaints, misclassification of employees, wage-and-hour claims, compliance with leave-related laws (such as the ADA and FMLA), protection and enforcement of proprietary and trade secret information, and compliance with OSHA and other workplace safety laws. Mr. Sugiura’s experience includes litigating class and collective action matters around the country.
Mr. Sugiura received a J.D. from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 2007. Mr. Sugiura attended both the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University and received a second B.A. from Temple University in 2007.
