Daniel J. Sweat
About
Daniel Sweat represents labor unions, employee benefit plans, and employees in a variety of legal and transactional matters, in both the public and private sectors. His practice primarily consists of advising clients in traditional labor relations, including collective bargaining, organizing, arbitrations, and internal union affairs.
Mr. Sweat earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2022. During law school, he clerked at two of the largest union-side labor law firms in the South, where he gained experience supporting unions in prominent organizing campaigns, strikes, and national master agreement negotiations. During that time, he also actively assisted Nashville restaurant workers in successfully organizing their workplaces and asserting their rights in the workplace. Mr. Sweat received a B.A. in Religious Studies from Centre College in 2018.
